I created Penitenziario inspired by The Old school gangsta rap, with obvious autobiographical references.
TC168
Thomas Criminalu a.k.a. TC168 has lived most of his life in the suburbs southeast of Bucharest. He is one of the few rappers that in all these years has remained faithful to the style old school gangsta rap. When he was only 12 years was arrested for the first time for aggravated injuries. At 15 years he was arrested for the second time, and spends 3 weeks in a reformatory. Started from underground, TC had great difficulty to emerge "due to" his vulgar lyrics and violence of the songs. In'97, along with two
friends, records the first demo, which has been never considered by record labels. In '98 releases the first album, with a high territorial success. A year after, one of the components of the band was killed in a gun conflict. Then TC left the music. Two years later, another friend was arrested and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Arrived in Italy, restarted working on his music and lyrics. In 2006, produces the first album in Italian, Penitenziario. In 2008, the second, RM with 50% of the songs in Italian, 50% Romanian.
