In addition to beautiful Jazz standards of the '20s, '30s and '40s, on this album the Gianluca Galvani quartet plays songs like the famous "Roma non fa la stupida stasera", by Armando Trovajoli and "Amapola", by José María Lacalle, which is the theme of the Sergio Leone's film "Once Upon a Time in America".
Gianluca Galvani Quartet Gianluca Galvani begins very young concert activities and soon starts playing together with the best classic jazz musicians, in Italy and abroad. His conception of music is almost entirely directed at the Jazz, and his experiences range from jazz concerts to studio recording, also with performances in television, radio and, since 2009, also cinema, with the movie "Just Married" by Luca Lucini. Currently he collaborates with RAI Radio 2, Renzo Arbore, Carlo Loffredo, Lino Patruno and Minnie Minoprio. He recently joined the "BJG Roots Music", a musical project in which the best italian jazz and blues musicians are involved.
