"Paolo Rossi said: "the one who plays the guitar at a beach party is the only one who never picks girls up... and if he picks a girl up, someone else will steal his guitar!". My guitar, up to now, has never been stolen..."
This first self produced EP N'Demo can be described in two words: light irony. An album which, consistently with the burlesque approach of the band, describes itself as a "demo", but that actually offers 5 tracks made with meticulous precision both in the execution and in the arrangement, an overall production contaminated by pop, folk, reggae, blues, jazz. It's difficult to frame this album in a specific genre. The songwriting, but understood and built as a witty choice full of words, images and music, through which emerge the essential components, namely irony and especially self-irony.

The project "Francesco e i Passabanda" was founded in 2006 by Francis Malagutti, songwriter from the province of Ravenna.
Why "Passabanda"? Passabanda (bandpass in english) in electronics is a type of filter that allows certain frequencies to pass through while stopping others.
In this sense, the band's name represents its attitude in creating music, where every idea and intuition of the songwriter is filtered through the band's style and the ability of the musicians, with a blend of irony and a special taste for playing with words, two elements that distinguish the entire artistic production of the songwriter and his "Band".
